Warm up

We have often seen that the players warm up before any game starts. Even before a football match several times players run, jog, sprint and do various exercises.

This is because, before any game, jogging or exercising warm up the muscles and tissues inside our body, this is called warming up. Not long ago, warming up was not practiced in India. At that time the players thought to warm up before the game would lead to extra fatigue in players. Therefore, warming up exercises were not used at that time. But according to experts, it is very necessary to warm up your body before any game or a workout. This not only results in flexibility in your body but it also improves your performance.

So let's know how warm-up can be done and what are its benefits.

Running or jogging helps the muscles to loosen up. You can run about 500 - 600 meters. Or if you do not like running, you can jog or walk for a few meters.

Stretching exercises include various stretching movements which relax the body. These exercises help in preventing injuries. I have covered stretching exercises in detail in one of my other posts.

Skipping

Jumping a rope is also beneficial to the body. It is a great way to burn those extra calories. This increases the balance and coordination of the body. It is also beneficial for patients with blood pressure. Most runners and athletes definitely include Skipping in their training.

Sprinting

Sprint workout is also called athlete workout. In this exercise, you will run very fast for the first 20 - 25 seconds and then you will jog for the following 10 - 15 seconds and then go into a rest state. This pattern can be repeated for 5 - 10 minutes according to your capacity.
